Having the opportunity to work on all facets of the organization, which means I get to collaborate with the entire Blast team. I can honestly say I learn something new almost every day.

More about Sarah

I joined Blast…

Because I was drawn to the people (the culture is amazing and you can tell the minute you walk in the door), the challenge to EVOLVE our marketing efforts, and the opportunity to learn and Make My Mark in the industry!

A cool part of my job is…

Having the opportunity to work on all facets of the organization, which means I get to collaborate with the entire Blast team. I can honestly say I learn something new almost every day.

My “philosophy” is…

Teamwork makes the dream work! I’ve been on teams, helped build teams, and led teams. What I love the most is learning what unique skills each team member has, and finding ways to work together to recognize each individual’s full potential in a team atmosphere.

It’s not on my resume, but…

I was a Division I collegiate volleyball coach for six years. We won our conference championship twice, taking us to the first round of the NCAA tournament. The first year we played at USC. and the second year we played at Nebraska in front of a crowd of 8,000 people — a very cool experience.

One of my first jobs was…

I worked a lot of sports camps when I was younger, but my first real job was a receptionist at a doctor’s office. I would also go in on the weekends and transcribe the doctor’s  dictated notes, where I found myself using the dictionary a lot. I remember finding that the word “microcalcifications” was hard to type correctly over and over again.

The most interesting place I’ve traveled is…

I’m lucky enough to have travelled a lot in my life, and my favorite places would have to be Venice, Italy, and the island of Anguilla. However, the most interesting place I’ve ever been, without a doubt, is the Earthship Biotecture Community in Taos, New Mexico.

My hobbies include…

Home DIY projects, listening to a lot of podcasts (too many!), and playing with my pups.

A favorite quote of mine is…

“Lighthouses don’t go running all over an island looking for boats to save; they just stand there shining.” — Anne Lamott
