More about Jason

I joined Blast…

Because of the culture and opportunity. I see a successful and growing company that is run by good people. I want to be here because Blast not only makes a difference in the web analytics industry, but also makes a difference in the community.  As a remote employee, I’m encouraged to make a difference in my own community, and the team inspires me to be better in my work life and in my home life. It’s a really great place to work.

A cool part of my job is…

I get to interact with some of the savviest and smartest people I have ever met. It’s amazing to see what my teammates know and how freely they share it with others.

My consulting “philosophy” is…

To be honest and direct. I believe it is important to build trust with our clients by being direct in our conversations. Speaking frankly often produces faster and more accurate solutions. I want to make sure everyone feels heard and feels confident in the path we are following.

It’s not on my resume, but…

I love board games. My family recently completed a renovation to redo our kitchen and one of our requirements was to add extra cabinets to store our large collection of games. My favorite games at the moment are Detective, Gloomhaven, Splendor, Biblios, and Codenames Duet.

One of my first jobs was…

Folding pizza boxes. I was 12 when I walked into a local pizzeria in New Jersey and asked the owner if he would pay me to fold boxes for him. I had noticed that he had a large area that would be filled with boxes, and every once in a while I would see they had very few left. Someone needed to fold them, right?

The most interesting place I’ve traveled is…

Cabo San Lucas. The scuba diving was fantastic. It was also great to take my Spanish speaking wife (who is blonde and very Caucasian) to a place where everyone tried to speak to me in Spanish only to have her answer instead. Their reactions were fantastic.

My hobbies include…

Spending time with my family, playing board games, acting in local theaters, singing, playing fantasy football, and getting out of escape rooms.

A favorite quote of mine is…

“It is our choices…that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
