Blast Advanced Media is looking for an experienced programmer that knows how to create simple and elegant code for websites and web applications. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, thorough, needs very little supervision, and interacts well with others.
What We Are Looking For
As a Web Programmer, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing websites. You'll be using object-oriented programming techniques with ASP.NET C# and PHP, and you'll also be working with HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Additionally, you'll be designing database structures to support website functionality in SQL and MySQL. If you can demonstrate expertise in these areas, then you should apply for this job.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, Develop and Implement new features and functionality quickly, efficiently, and effectively
- Perform quality assurance on your own work and work with others to test functionality, be the advocate for quality on all tasks
- Work with support staff to identify and resolve defects
- Write automated tests to ensure proper and consistent application operation
- Monitor application performance and optimize code and application architecture
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- 4+ years experience building and maintaining dynamic websites
- 4+ years experience with object oriented programming
- Must be very familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX
- Passion for writing elegant, modular code
- Passion for learning new technologies and programming languages
- Experience working with content management systems, specifically Wordpress
- Creating, modifying, querying, and coding using SQL and MySQL
- Excellent time management skills
Plusses
- Experience with the Microsoft .NET technology specifically in ASP.NET C# (Web Forms)
- B.S. in Computer Science or related fields
- Expertise with customizing the functionality of Wordpress plug ins
- Experience/Expertise with Google Analytics and Website Optimizer
