The new site made buying online easy while simultaneously increasing sales, site traffic, and the user experience. As part of the creation of the new website, Blast created a
custom product detail page layout which integrated features such as the
"Share the Moment" photo sharing area, custom landing page module and
custom affiliate program. These user-friendly features allowed Think
Tank to accomplish both their branding and web sales goals.
After the successful launch of the site and continued profitability, Blast and Think Tank formed a strategic partnership. Blast now works with the Think Tank team as an extension of their marketing department to offer guidance on online marketing initiatives, advise them on SEO best practices, continually optimize the site, and help them with conversion optimization.
The Need for Responsive Site Design
Photographers don't work in cubicles, so as the usage of mobile
devices increased among Think Tank's users, Blast identified a need to adapt the site
so it met the needs of users on their phones, ipads, and other devices. The goal was to
avoid the cost of building and managing a separate mobile
site (in addition to the current site) and give customers the best buying experience possible.
Blast's design team adapted the existing site so that is actively adapts to display products optimally on all devices. Responsive design is relatively new, and has seldom been utilized on e-commerce websites, so Think Tank was excited to be ahead of the curve.
