Online Marketing Strategist


Blast Advanced Media, an online marketing and analytics consulting company based in Roseville, California, is looking for a person with 2 or more years of general online marketing experience, and a strong talent in one of the following (in order of preferred experience):

  1. Analytics with online marketing skills/experience
  2. SEO with analytics and general online marketing skills/experience
  3. Paid search with analytics and general online marketing skills/experience
  4. Conversion Optimization with analytics and general online marketing skills/experience

Blast is looking for a well rounded team member who can contribute in a variety of ways to our company, and has an insatiable desire to continually learn, grow and master new skills. We are looking for someone who is the right fit with our team, is passionate about what they do, and loves to collaborate with others.

The ideal candidate would have the following experience, but we are strongly considering candidates who meet many (but not all) of the criteria below as well, as long as they have a strong passion to learn:

Desired Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and time management skills; must enjoy collaborating with designers, online marketers, copywriters, programmers and clients.
  • Experience using online analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture Site Catalyst, ClickTale, Raven, SEOMoz, Google Website Optimizer and Compete to analyze, interpret, draw conclusions and summarize information, and present these conclusions in a clear way.
  • Experience in creating segments and setting up goals in Google Analytics to analyze user behavior, or must possess interest in learning to do so.
  • Experience and/or interest in implementing and assisting developer’s implementation of tracking and analytic tools.
  • Experience with creating, writing and optimizing content pages, blog posts, press releases, email blasts, white papers, and case studies.
  • Experience creating content for blogs, web pages and PPC ads using keyword research, marketing savvy and SEO best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and delivering client presentations.
  • Possess the ability to identify issues that could lead to poor conversion using usability and user experience knowledge. Ability to prioritize issues and determine action steps to resolve them is a plus.
  • General understanding of usability design and conversion optimization design. Wireframing, information architecture design and interaction design experience a plus.
  • Experience performing keyword research, writing and implementing PPC campaigns, and performing ongoing management and maintenance of PPC campaigns
  • Experience with client management, must be comfortable in a client-facing role.
