Serves clients by planning and directing online advertising campaigns. Develops e-commerce market share and profitability by driving customer and market research, marketing plans, and product rollout. 


Duties:

  • Determines online advertising campaign requirements by utilizing product or service knowledge, understanding of the interactive web environment, marketing research, media capabilities, and audience characteristics.
  • Identifies current and future online customer service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual web-using customers and other persons in a position to understand customer requirements.
  • Develops advertising budget by conferring with agency artists, codewriters, graphic designers, copywriters, photographers, and other media-production specialists to select media and estimate costs.
  • Obtains client acceptance by developing an online campaign strategy; preparing and presenting proposals, concepts, storyboards, and other copy, print, and onscreen mock-ups.
  • Guides advertising production by coordinating marketing research, copywriting, art layout, media time and site design, special display, and promotional items.
  • Implements advertising campaigns by negotiating screen space; authorizing contracts.
  • Evaluates, adjusts, and redirects advertising campaigns by studying and analyzing sales results, demographics, customer satisfaction surveys, and other market research information.
  • Maintains client confidence and protects advertising operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provides account information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to agency effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
  • Contributes to agency team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Defines Web customer requirements by initiating and directing customer research studies; translating current and anticipated requirements into product features.
  • Discovers Web market opportunities by tracking the competitive landscape; evaluating competitors' products; identifying market segments, new products, and new product applications; determining channels.
  • Drives Web marketing plan by defining the array of products offered; establishing and coordinating existing product line direction worldwide;
  • Monitors profit contribution by updating sales forecasts; identifying production, distribution, marketing, and sales costs.
  • Develops product rollout by defining and implementing the product launch strategy; creating product documentation including white papers, data sheets, and press releases; training sales staff; coordinating Web hosting and implementation requirements with engineering, QA, and technical writing; supports sales and development efforts including exhibitions and conferences; identifying technology partnerships.
  • Improves product quality by monitoring usage and feedback; managing enhancement prioritization.
  • Maximizes revenue and margin by architecting and tracking advertising and promotion programs; fine-tuning approaches; developing and adjusting pricing strategy; briefing analysts.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping product and marketing information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by understanding Internet marketing trends; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
