Conversion Strategist

Job Objective

In this full time Conversion Strategist role, you will leverage your business and technical expertise in Conversion Optimization, Usability, Web Analytics, Marketing, copywriting, and related skills to provide customers with strategic guidance to meet their business goals. It will be your responsibility to ensure that customers receive the ROI they're seeking by successfully leading them through the processes of optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to develop clear and measurable business and testing objectives
  • Recommend improvements to client sites in order to increase conversion rates, then design and develop campaigns that enable the testing of improvements
  • Leverage creative, strategic and analytic skills to discover insights from available sources including web analytics tools
  • Provide regular reporting and analyses to clients that support their business needs and interpret campaign results. Assist clients in understanding your chosen strategies and what available information was used to aid in your decisions. Identify successes, failures, and trends, and effectively communicate these findings to clients
  • Improve lead-generation and sales conversion rates on clients' websites
  • Establish the clients' roadmap for ongoing optimization testing to drive continuous conversion improvement
  • Manage, analyze and present learning and recommendations on client test plans
  • Lead test plan development
  • Recommend and structure tests including home pages, category and product pages, landing pages, shopping carts, signup and download forms as well as user flows
  • Make recommendations in the form of user flows, wireframes and presentations in order to communicate strategy
  • Evaluate pages and recommend tests that will lift conversion rates and/or help meet clients revenue/business goals
  • Build and manage client relationships. Identify opportunities to add value to client relationships

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Motivated, passionate, quick learner and a self-starter
  • Experience in testing tools such as VWO, Test & Target, Google Website Optimizer, LiveBall
  • 2+ years of site optimization, usability metrics and related statistical concepts
  • Solid understanding of online analytics metrics and related statistical concepts
  • Experience with Web Analytics tools such as Webtrends, Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics and analytical tools such as Excel
  • Hands-on experience with HTML desired; Website development/design experience preferred; CSS, JavaScript and Regular Expressions a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and report writing skills
  • Excellent client relation skills a must
  • Strong technology base, with awareness of developing trends and IT solutions
  • BS/BA in marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics, english, journalism, or psychology preferred
