With the recent launches of the new BlastAdvancedMedia.com, the new Teichert Construction web site, DesCor Builders, and CSAC-EIA, quite a few new visitors have come through due to being featured on some of the best CSS and Flash design inspiration showcases.

We've been featured on several of the top gallery sites including Design Meltdown, Inspiration King, Most Inspired, Flash in the Pan, The Best Designs, CSS Mania, Screenalicio.us and Designsnack. We appreciate the accolades from the design community.

Case Study: CSAC-Excess Insurance Authority

Challenge:
When CSAC-EIA came to us to have their web presence re-evaluated, the existing design and site structure was nearly 5 years old. We helped them identify several key factors and elements that would significantly increase the effectiveness of the site as a tool to advance their business objectives.

Solution:
Usability issues were rectified, we added visitor site tools for printing and emailing documents and site content which could be useful to member organizations, built a member dashboard to help organize and consolidate access to member specific info, implemented content re-design and upgrades to help improve user experience and allow users to access info easier and faster, and an overall re-thinking of the visual design strategy. Finally we installed several upgrades to the existing Web Management System to improve site administration capabilities for allowing member access and notification

Services:
USABILITY STRATEGY, CONVERSION STRATEGY, SEO, ASSET DESIGN, CONTENT DESIGN, CREATIVE DESIGN, CSS

Keep Your Shirt On!

We wanted to reinforce some of the team unity and celebrate some internal milestones and achievements by creating a little wearable spirit for the team. Kelly and I put together several designs, took a vote and had the most popular ones printed up. We would be happy to have our friends and partners represent as well, so drop us a line and we'll be happy to hand you the shirt off our backs ...well, you'll get a fresh, new, unused one ...so it's not quite off our backs ...cause that would just be kinda gross.

Raving Fans: PARMA

Can you find out something special that Joe likes. It was his birthday yesterday and Shanti and I want to send him something. Gift certificate to his favorite pub? A bouquet of chocolate chip cookies? Can you subversively give us some ideas? Working with him is a dream come true - I can't begin to tell you how thrilled we are to have him on the PARMA project.

Golden Eagles New Web Site Connects with Fans

We designed and programmed a new website for the Del Oro High School football program. Created as a gift to the community, the new website features an online store, blog, fundraising through advertising, and a content management system that allows the team to easily update the site. Check the schedule, view the featured video, read game highlights or meet the team at www.goldeneaglefootball.com.

The online store will raise funds for the football program by selling clothing and other memorabilia. New online advertising allows local sponsors to connect themselves with the area's #1 high school football team, while supporting the program. In addition to e-commerce and advertising, Coaches Casey Taylor and Steve Birch get personal in the Coach's Corner blog.

"It feels good to have support from a local company like Blast. We have needed a website for many years and to have a quality product like Blast put together is awesome," said Coach Taylor. "Del Oro Football is about tradition - it is a way of life in Loomis. We work very hard at what we do and support from family, friends, staff, students and community is second to none."

The community connection is deep for Blast Advanced Media founder and CEO, Kayden Kelly. "I promised myself that if I was ever in the position to give back I would; especially to schools," said Kelly. "I have friends and family who graduated from Del Oro including my wife, Christine Kelly (maiden name Stacy), and this made it even more special to contribute to this local high school."

The football program is looking for volunteers to manage the online store and advertising. Interested persons can submit contact information through the website at www.goldeneaglefootball.com on the Contact page.

Del Oro High School was founded in 1958 and currently has about 1,530 students. Del Oro High School's mission is to create an atmosphere of excellence and integrity in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment where all students can engage in the learning process, apply knowledge, and contribute as responsible members of a global community. The Del Oro High School campus is located in Loomis, CA. Learn more at www.puhsd.k12.ca.us/deloro.

An All New Empower U

As a company, those of us who have attended Empower U felt we wanted to really get behind the purpose and message of this organization. So we were both grateful and excited to be given the opportunity to help take the company to the next level by re-develpoping the current website. Empower U has had great success in building a solid & satisfied client base. We are planning to help them take the next big leap by building a site that will work towards giving potential new clients a better sense of the impact Empower U can have on their home and business life, giving graduates better tools to stay in touch and informed, and giving the company a solid foundation of credibility.

Blast Advanced Media is Empowered

Prior to completing our recent project for Descor Builders, our Managing Director, Kayden, was invited to attend a three day class that he was told would "change his life"... Well that it did and more. We watched Kayden return from this class and recognized immediately that whatever he had gone through in the class definitely had an impact.

He had gone from working 18+ hour days, leaving just enough time to grab a bite to eat and tuck his kids in before diving into more work, to arriving at the office promptly at 7am and leaving promptly at 5pm -- and leaving work in the office as well. Those of us who know him well and had futilely tried to convince him over the past 6 years to slow down, knew a major change had taken place.

That is when we were all on board and ready to transform ourselves and our company. 6 of our team members have since attended Empower U, a three day experience that helps people create a solid foundation of skills allowing them to bring renewed vision, focus, passion and teamwork to all the most important parts of their work and life.

The rest of our team members are scheduled to attend over the next few weeks and we expect Blast Advanced Media will be poised to reach great new heights with a full team of individuals with a fresh new outlook on their company and their lives.

Our Work for Cal ISO Wins A Summit

Blast Advanced Media was awarded a Silver Summit Award in the Interactive Media Category in the 2007 Summit International Awards. The winning project was our MRTU flash presentation developed for California ISO.

All entries to the Summit Creative Awards were reviewed and scored by a panel of sixteen judges representing many of today's top creative agencies worldwide. Over the fourteen years, the competition has established itself as one of the premier arbiters of creative excellence. Using rigorous evaluative criteria and top international judges, this unique competition rewards those firms truly deserving of special recognition. Submissions are evaluated based on the strength of their big idea, the quality of execution and their ability to
persuade.

The Summit Creative Awards is unique in that it limits entrants by billings. It is open to advertising and public relations agencies, advertisers and in-house marketing departments, video production and multimedia agencies, graphic designers and other creative companies with annual billings of less than $25 million. For more information on this year's winning entries or for more information on the Summit Creative Awards, visit their web site at www.summitawards.com

Get On The Bus!

As many of you know, our team has grown exponentially over the past year and a half. We are proud to announce the addition of some new, talented members of the bus...

It has been a while since he joined the team, back in February as a matter of fact, but we wanted to recognize Joe Christopher who came on-board to handle a multitude of web development, system administration and technology duties. So far, Joe has had a massive impact on day to day life here at Blast. Joe has been a great asset in helping the company to grow and push the envelope with solid knowledge, experience and bright ideas which have our clients raving about him!

Not so, so long ago but still back a few months back in June, Travis Martin decided to hitch a ride on the bus that is Blast Advanced Media. He joins the team as our resident technology and software applications engineer. In addition to bringing some serious development and programming skills to the team, he also now serves as the second most fanatic cycler on the ever growing Blast Advanced Media "Cycling Team". Travis will be a wonderful asset to an already multi-talented development team. He has incredible knowledge and experience which will add tremendous value to all of our technology platforms. It is great to have him on board!

And last but not least, Charles Davis joins the team tasked with Business Development and Project Management duties. Charles brings to the team a solid background in terms of the software and technology development process and has worked closely with our team before joining Blast. He will serve as a confident and knowledgeable first point of contact for all new and future business clients. And even though he likes soccer, we still hired him.

Bicycle, Bicycle...

As part of our commitment to affecting change in the world around us, several team members are participating in bike to work days throughout the week.

Some of us have been harder to convert than others but our avid riders swear it will turn the daily commute into the best part the day.

According to the Federal Highway Administration, U.S. motorists are driving substantially fewer miles for the first time in 26 years. The decrease is credited to high gas prices, changing demographics and greater commitment by more americans to living a healthier lifestyle.

What better way to save money, get some exercise, reduce pollution, and have some fun in the meantime...
