Google analytics has made some great updates to the analytics package. One update that I have been anxiously awaiting (had to use some creative programming in the past) is getting an analytics API(Yay!).

Another great new feature is the motion charts that can be heavily customized to really get a clear picture how efforts have paid off over time and can help you be more proactive by visualizing those trends.

There were a few more changes (Advanced Segmentation, Custom Reporting and Interface Updates) Check out this post:

  • You write very interestingly. I think Google is becoming very smart. It can sense which website has interesting posts.
  • We’ve been playing with the advanced segmentation for weeks. It’s awesome! You get on-the-fly segmentation on historic data, which couldn’t be done with profiles (profiles only segment data starting the day the profile is created).

You can use regular expressions, save your segments for a later use; no need to plan all your profiles in advance anymore!

We don’t have access to custom reports yet? Anyone want to share?
  • Interesting write up by someone how has been checking out the public beta....
